Requirements
You will need a high school diploma or a GED prior to beginning class. You must be at least 16 1/2 years of age and provide a copy of your birth certificate.
You are required to attend school Tuesday through Saturday, and must be able to maintain 90% attendance of available hours offered.
You are making a commitment for 2000 hours which can be completed in 15 months or approximately 60 weeks of training from which you will be expected to complete, graduate and successfully pass your state licensing exam.

Financial Aid & Payment Plan Options
Financial Aid and Payment Plan Options are available for the cosmetology program for those students that qualify. Please call to set up an appointment with a financial aid adviser (208)232-9170. 
To apply for Financial Aid on-line go to fafsa.ed.gov and use The School of Hairstyling's school code, 016432.

Tuition and fees for the 2000 hour Cosmetology program are:

JulyTuition: $7250, Books $450, Kit $550, Restistration fee $100 TOTAL COST: $8350

September Tuition: $7350, Books $500, Kit $650, Registration fee $100 TOTAL COST: $8500

January Tuition: $7500, Books $500, Kit $650, Registration fee $100 TOTAL COST $8750

Payment plans are available with 10% of the total cost plus the registration fee of $100.  due at orientation and 15 monthly payments  due on or before the 15th of each month.  There is no interest or carrying charses as long as the payment is made on or before the 15th of each month.

Federal Financial aid (Pell Grants or Student Loans) may be used ot pay your costs of education, if you have eligibility for those types of funnding.

Other payment arrangements may be be made.
